Revamp Is Complete (Almost)
Followers of this site have seen major changes over the past few weeks. My wife helped me redesign the site, and I have worked, and reworked to find the right codes to implement the designs she has made.
I am excited about the new design of the site. I think it looks cleaner, more readable, and more professional. There are a few catches of course.
This is still a shoestring operation. I am doing the best I can with the limited knowledge I have of site development, not to mention my theological development and writing abilities. This is far from a finished product. But until I can hire someone to edit my writings, clean up my code, design new teasers for articles, sermons and bios I write, this site will continue to have significant flaws.
One of the biggest difficulties I have had is one that any website designer will immediately recognize: Internet Explorer is the bane of a designer's existence. So while the site pages are supposed to look something like this from the Article page:
On Internet Explorer it turns out with the less appealing (Without rounded corners in the article boxes):
I have pulled my hair out (what little hair I have) trying to get it all perfect, and to look just how I want it (not sure I even know how I want it). But for now, this will have to do. I will of course by making minor changes, here and there, but I look forward to the work of filling in the content once again.
So, what is on the docket for filling in the content?
First, I preach a sermon next Wednesday night. That is priority number one.
But I have two other projects that I am excited to complete. One is a biographical sketch on Peruvian Missionary, Ruth Stull. I have blogged about her, but feel that she has much to offer, especially as a forgotten giant.
The other thing that I want to work on is finishing a Bible Study on 1 Peter.
I invite you to share with me your thoughts. Are there parts that are not working? Are there parts that are distracting? Hokey? Let me know. I desire this site to be of professional quality, with solid and useful content.
I look foward to hearing from you. Just go to the Contact Page and let me know your thoughts.
